“Si on s’aimait encore” is a reality TV show made in Quebec that helps couples who are at turning point in their relationship. Through a variety of means, the show aims to help participants rekindle the spark that originally drew them together – and what better way to reconnect with a partner than through partner dancing. That’s where Dance Conmigo comes in!
Show producers reached out to us to provide a private Salsa class for a couple looking to reestablish their love connection. With its infectious rhythm, and the elements of touch, communication and collaboration, Salsa is the perfect elixir for couples feeling estranged.
We spent just over an hour with a lovely young couple who worked together to learn the dance hold, rhythm, lead, follow, and a couple of basic steps of Salsa. They focused, succeeded, made errors, laughed, and eventually even pulled off the sexy choreographed intro that we prepared for them! Whatever the future holds, they picked up an engaging social skill and – judging from their smiles – a new activity they can enjoy doing together.
