Even if you&#8217;ve never tried it &#8211; or ever seen it danced live &#8211; you know what it is. Everyone does. We&#8217;ve seen it in movies, we can identify the music, and we know its reputation. Romantic, passionate&#8230; intense. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sadly, although Alain and I have often sensed people are curious about tango, we&#8217;ve also felt their hesitation to give it a try &#8211; hearing objections like &#8220;It&#8217;s too difficult&#8221; (false), &#8220;I&#8217;m too young&#8221;(false), &#8220;I&#8217;m too old&#8221; (false!), &#8220;I don&#8217;t have a partner&#8221; (so?) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tango, at its core, is a social dance. It&#8217;s a walking dance. It&#8217;s a dance based on communication. With the right instruction, it is not difficult to learn. It takes time, sure, but if you enjoy the process, and you&#8217;re developing a new skill, building confidence, and finding a new community of friends, then why rush anything? Tango will teach you to be present in the moment. <br><br>For the first time in years Alain and Cheryl are offering a <strong>Beginner Argentine Tango group session &#8211; Thursdays 8pm-9pm at Espaces des Arts<\/strong> in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
